Sapphires belong to the exclusive family of Precious Stones along with Rubies, Emeralds, and, of course, Diamonds.

Since Antiquity, Sapphires are particularly appreciated for their brilliance and unique colors.

In jewelry, the hardness of a stone is essential. For sapphires, their hardness is evaluated at 9, so they remain ideal for everyday use.

The Mohs scale scores minerals from 1 to 10, from the most fragile to the hardest mineral. The most breakable being talc (noted 1) and the hardest known being diamond, noted 10.

100% Pure Gold 24K

Pure gold is not used in jewelry because of its excessive ability to deform. It is usually found in the form of a gold bar.

75% Pure Gold 18K

It is the perfect blend of purity and resistance, perfectly suited for fine jewelry that will last over time.

All Avani creations are handmade in 18-carat gold.

58,3% Pure Gold 14K

14K gold used in standard jewelry. There's a slight difference between 14k and 18k yellow gold, 18k gold is more rich and vivid than in 14k gold.

37.5% Pure Gold 9K

It contains half the gold of 18K gold; it will be more sensitive to chemicals, sweat, and water.

French law provides protection, which prevents unsuspecting consumers from confusing the different purities of gold.

All Avani Paris jewelry is made in 18k gold and guaranteed by hallmark by Avani Paris and French customs.

Diamonds at Avani Paris

All our diamonds are natural and selected by us, and sorted one by one, to guarantee you an exceptional brilliance.

Our paving diamonds always have an "excellent" cut, an "F" color, and a minimum "VS" clarity.

The Quality of a Diamond: the 4Cs

The value of a diamond is defined by 4 criteria: the '' 4C ''

The Cut ,  It is a less often mentioned criterion, which is, however, fundamental to optimize the brilliance of a diamond: a colorless and very pure diamond will be dull if it is not cut correctly.

The Color is qualified by a letter from D to Z.

Why D? Because it is the D of Diamond that qualifies the best color, a completely colorless white.

The Clarity makes it possible to differentiate between inclusions Invisible to the naked eye and which do not affect the brilliance of diamonds: IF, VVSI, VSI, and SI.

Only Clarity grades I1, I2, and I3 have a substantial impact on the brilliance of the diamond.

The Weight  is expressed in Carat, one carat = 0.20g. The larger a diamond, the rarer it is, the more expensive it is per carat.

Origin of the 4C

Introduced in 1953 by the GIA (Gemological Institute of America), this diamond grading system has now become a globally accepted standard.

The GIA is the leading world authority in gemology.
